We are looking for a Staff AI Implementation Engineer to serve as the central builder and operator of AI-powered automation across the company. This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role reporting directly to the Head of AI Transformation. You will partner directly with leaders in Product, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Commercial, HR, Finance, and other functions to identify high-value automation opportunities, then design, build, ship, and govern the AI agents that deliver them.

You will operate across the full spectrum of implementation complexity from production-grade agentic systems built on platforms like Vertex AI, to rapid-deployment automations inside tools like Zapier. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle: scoping, prototyping, deploying, monitoring, and iterating.

This is not a research role. We need someone who moves fast, ships constantly, and treats every cross-functional partner like a customer.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents and automated workflows that solve real business problems across multiple departments
  • Lead the design of a custom Agent Harness via custom or managed solutions like Claude Managed Agents, building proprietary orchestration, state management, and ‘human-in-the-loop’ guardrails tailored specifically to the complexities of financial services.
  • Develop high-code solutions (e.g., Vertex AI, LangChain, custom APIs) for complex, mission-critical use cases requiring fine-grained control
  • Consult on low-code/no-code automations (e.g., Zapier, Make) for rapid-turnaround needs where speed and simplicity are paramount
  • Architect reusable agent patterns, templates, and shared infrastructure to accelerate future builds
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks for all deployed agents to ensure reliability and auditability
  • Design and enforce governance policies around data access, model usage, prompt management, and output quality
  • Act as a trusted technical partner to business stakeholders—translate ambiguous business needs into well-scoped automation solutions
  • Run lightweight discovery and intake processes to prioritize the agent roadmap based on ROI and feasibilit

What We’re Looking For:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, automation engineering, ML engineering, or a closely related technical role
  • Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI/ML-powered applications or agentic systems in a production environment
  • Strong understanding of A2A protocol, MCP architecture, and data structure for powering AI applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and at least one cloud AI/ML platform (Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock/SageMaker, Azure AI)
  • Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel) and prompt engineering
  • Working knowledge of low-code automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n, or similar)
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. You thrive in ambiguity, self-direct your work, and bias toward action and output over process

Compensation:

This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included below. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.

  • Total Cash Compensation Range: $130,000 – $210,000 per year

Additionally, the following benefits are provided by Red Ventures, subject to eligibility requirements.

  • Health Insurance Coverage (medical, dental, and vision)
  • Life Insurance
  • Short and Long-Term Disability Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Holiday Pay
  • 401(k) with match
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Paid Parental Bonding Benefit Program
  • Flexible Paid Time Off (PTO): We believe time to rest and recharge is essential.  That’s why we offer a generous and flexible PTO policy.  Full-time employees accrue 20 days of PTO for a full calendar year annually, with an increase to 25 days after five years of service.
